Toi Et Moi Women’s Summer Fashion 2011

Toi Et Moi Women’s Summer Fashion 2011

Summer 2010/2011 Clothing by Toi Et Moi

A boutique womens fashion label by Gill Lawrence

Toi Et Moi [You and Me] – Noir et Blanc [Black and White] – Summer 2011

If the name Gill Lawrence sounds familiar you would be correct in assuming that its not a new name in the Australian fashion industry. Toi Et Moi (which debuted in 2009) is the second major label by Gill Lawrence, who is also the previous (and ex-owner) of boutique chic label Milk and Honey.

“Each Toi et Moi collection has an element of French inspiration, whether it’s a graphic or the way a few pieces are styled together, it’s not a literal take on French style, it’s my take on an Australian girl in Paris.”

Below is the latest (Summer 2010/2011) range which will be hitting boutique store shelves later this year. As the title of the collection suggests, garments incorporate the shades of black and white.

Despite its short history, the Toi Et Moi fashion label has obviously connected to Australian girls, with over 100 stores already stocking the french-inspired fashion label – in a word, Toi Et Moi is parfait.

Paris Haute Couture 2011: Armani Privé Spring – Summer 2011

Paris Haute Couture 2011: Armani Privé Spring – Summer 2011

Paris Haute Couture 2011: Armani Privé Spring – Summer 2011 preview & pictures: Special preview: Giorgio Armani’s Privé Haute Couture collection is inspired by a treasure-chest of jewels.

As Paris settled into sleep last night, craftsmen were working around the clock, installing a ‘cavern of crystals’ to showcase Giorgio Armani ‘s Privé collection, which will be shown on the opening day of the Haute Couture season, today.

Armani, the 75-year-old Italian couturier, has taken inspiration for his spring/summer collection from a treasure-chest of jewels, to create dazzling gowns certain to be seen on the red carpet at next month’s Academy Awards in Hollywood.

Encrusted with crystals and stones cut like diamonds, the slim, modernist gowns sparkled like stars in the night sky, at an exclusive preview for The Daily Telegraph yesterday.

Even the heels of the models’ shoes and the fuschia lipstick on their mouths were enhanced with shimmering, coloured crystals, while their eyes were just visible beneath metallic halo-hats, designed for Armani by the London-based milliner, Philip Treacy.

This spring/summer Paris season for Haute Couture, the expensive ‘grande dame’ of the fashion world, is set to be one of the busiest ever, despite the recession, with major couture ‘maisons’ such as Christian Dior and Elie Saab, reporting increased sales from wealthy clients.

Christian Dior , whose collections are designed by the British couturier, John Galliano , has doubled its seating for today’s show to cope with increased demand for tickets, according to a report in Women’s Wear Daily, the American fashion industry newspaper.

A total of 20 couturiers are featured on the official schedule of haute couture’s ruling body, the Chambre Syndicale.
